PSV Eindhoven 0 – 1 Rangers

After a 2-2 first leg at Ibrox, PSV were heavy favourites to see the tie out, but clearly Rangers had other ideas. When you consider that ten years prior to this, they (Rangers) owed every man and his dog huge piles of cash, went into admistration, got liquidated and ended up in the fourth tier of Scottish league football, it is all a bit of a fairytale. Except if you’re a Celtic fan, obviously. Some of whom insist that the Gers’ history now actually starts in 2012, as opposed to 1872. A bit harsh, but then what do you expect? Either way, both the Glasgow teams ended up in the Champions League main draw and everyone was happy. Probably. You never really know with these two, do you?
