Everton 5 – 1 Leicester City

It’s the Gary Lineker derby, featuring no Gary Lineker. And no Tottenham, I suppose. Back in ’86, Everton were the team to beat and they won the league by a convincing 9 points (second place being local rivals Liverpool). This demolition of the Foxes testament to their superiority. It remains the last title for the Toffees, who haven’t finished above fouth place since. Leicester were relegated, but they would be back. Granted, it would take 30 years to get their hands on the big prize, but it all counts.
