Leicester City 3 – 1 Nottingham Forest

Before Leicester won anything (the Premier League in 2016 and the FA Cup in 2021), the late 90s edition was held in high regard. Emile Heskey, Matt Elliot and Steve Guppy were quintessential elements in that Martin O’Neill team (also containing Savages, Izzets and Lennons). But what of Forest? Well, Forest had been shuddering down in stature for a long time, despite being infintiely more decorated than their East Midlands rivals and this would be their last match on equal keel for a long time. Sadly it would be more lower league encounters for the most part after this one, but they’re both back where they belong now, hey.
