Bit of a weird one, this. In the 90s Leeds won the last ever First Division and Everton won the FA Cup, though the latter suffered almost getting relegated twice, whereas the former were seemingly building for the future. A future that looked very bright around 2001. Yet at this point in 2003, the teams were on very different trajectories; Leeds spiralling out of the Premier League due to spazzing billions of quid and Everton stabalising with David Moyes by spending virtually nothing.
