Brighton 3 – 2 Manchester City

More David and Goliath stuff, this time on the south coast. At this point, Manchester City had already won the league and Brighton were safe, but nothing warms the heart better than beating the champions, does it? I wouldn’t know. My team never does that. A goal after two minutes suggests they’re not going to back down, either. Even the helping hand of João Cancelo committing a professional foul on Danny Welbeck didn’t help and by early in the second half it looked like curtains. But no. Brighton came back and sent the Mancs packing. Hardly a good warm up for an upcoming Champions League final, is it? I’m sure you’ll be fine, lads.
