West Ham United 5 – 3 Chelsea

This is the type of London tussle you turn up for. Certainly in the mid-80s. I don’t support either of these teams but, you know. It’s *cough* a big thing if you do. Anyway, this one in 1986, a proper one-up-man-ship game. In many ways for the neutral, Tony Cottee ruined it. Three all with five minutes to go? Just shake hands and take the draw. But no. Big Tone there to bag a brace in two minutes. I say ‘Big Tone’. I don’t think they ever called him that. Diminutive, if anything.
