Yugoslavia 3 – 4 Spain

Retrospectively, Euro 2000 is lauded as one of the great tournaments. I remember it being Ok at the time, but nothing to write home about. I was coming back from France when this was on, and I remember the score changing every time I glanced at the telly on the ferry (a touch of class, I know). So realistically, this game should be the best of the best. I mean, it’s pretty good. Two goals in the last two minutes would seem to back that up. Not sure why it’s Yugoslavia and not Serbia. Lots of stuff going on in the Balkans during the 90s / early 2000s. The shortest version of that story ever told.
